Headed north

We spent some great time with family, and removed some of, what we hope anyway, were some unnecessary items in the RV.

We then headed north and camped in St. Ignace, MI for a couple of days.  We took the ferry over to Mackinac Island one afternoon.  It is a pretty neat place and Travis especially liked it because there are no cars allowed on the island, so the only way to travel is by bike or horse.  We rode the island loop and some of the interior roads, which can be pretty darn steep!

We hit a burger joint for dinner and ate some fudge for dessert (an island requirement) before taking the ferry back to the mainland.

Time for school, not a bad view.
Beautiful island park.
Rush hour traffic.
Bye-bye.

The journey begins....

After a very hectic couple of weeks spent packing up the RV, getting the house ready for rent, and generally pulling our hair out, we finally "set sail" for our trip.  We spent the weekend with Aunt Sheryl before heading north to see more family.  On the way north, took a side trip to Niagara Falls.

We got to the Falls on Tuesday, so it was not very busy.  We rode the Maid of the Mist, hiked up some trails, and got generally soaked.
